Kyoto Animation’s Violet Evergarden Side Story Anime Film Breaks Hearts in the West on April 2

If you’ve been waiting to watch the newest entry in the Violet Evergarden anime franchise, then wait no longer! Kyoto Animation’s Violet Evergarden – Eternity and Auto Memory Doll – anime film will finally be available to watch on Netflix’s platform on April 2 the streaming platform announced on Twitter on March 3 after releasing an English-subtitled trailer for the anime film.

Violet Evergarden – Eternity and Auto Memory Doll – was the final project completed at Kyoto Animation before the July 18 arson attack on the studio. The anime film opened in Japanese cinemas in September 2019 (you can read our review from the Japanese run) and had a western theatrical release late 2019/early 2020 in Australia, New Zealand, and North America.

The next film, Violet Evergarden: The Movie, releases in Japan on April 24 after being postponed from January due to the attack.
